Troy Steven Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Troy Steven Williams, on April 26, 2026. Troy was a true light, and his spirit will live on through the countless memories he made with his family, friends, and coworkers. Troy is survived by his loving parents, Glenn Williams and Jo Ann Bendolph-Williams; his beloved grandmommy, Ruby Bendolph; and his siblings: Brandon Williams, Jasmin Williams, Dana (Williams) Braxton, Lynnette (Williams) Thomas, and Glenn Williams Jr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, to include his youngest niece, Alanya Williams-Caballero, who was the absolute light of his eyes and with whom he shared a remarkably close bond. Additionally, Troy is survived by his aunts, Felicia (Bendolph) Simmons (affectionately known as his 2nd mom), Joyce Bendolph, Karen Bennett, Annette Bradley, Donna Douglas, Barbara Crumpley; his uncles, Gregory Bendolph, Clinton Simmons Jr., and Larry Bradley; his great aunts Katherleen Campbell, Lucy Majors, Doretha Bendolph; and his great uncle Herbert Bendolph; Troy’s legacy of family and love extends to a vast host of cousins, far too numerous to name individually, leaving behind a wealth of treasured memories both old and new. He will be deeply missed by Nijah and Lalah Simmons, who were blessed to see and speak with him on a daily basis. They looked up to Troy, and he served, in every sense, much like an older brother to them both. Family meant everything to Troy. He was deeply loyal and treasured nothing more than spending time with the people he loved, bringing his unique warmth, humor, and genuine energy to every gathering. Troy also leaves behind his extraordinarily loyal canine companion, Jax, who was a well-known constant by his side. Jax brought Troy profound joy over the last nine years, faithfully accompanying him through daily walks, fishing excursions, beach trips, and quiet days snuggled up watching games. Beyond his family and Jax, Troy leaves behind a multitude of friends, both local and afar, who deeply appreciated his presence in their lives. He treasured every relationship, from lifelong friendships to newer bonds and close connections that brought him happiness and joy. Troy regularly looked forward to outings with friends and cherished the times they spent hitting the golf course, fishing on the lake, walking on the beach, or simply bonding over a shared love of music and sports. Professionally, Troy spent several years as Clinical Guidelines Specialist, a dedicated and valued colleague at the American College of Radiology. Outside of work, he was a massive hip-hop fan and a lifelong sports enthusiast and Washington Commanders’ fan. We invite family, friends and co-workers to join us in honoring his life.
