Patricia Virginia DaSilva

Patricia Virginia DaSilva, born on November 15, 1975, was the third oldest of seven children born to the late Norma Ramsaroop DaSilva and John Manoel DaSilva of Georgetown, Guyana. She passed away after a long and courageous battle on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Inova Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Christina DaSilva, and her beloved John Louis Campayne. Fair of face and full of grace, she was the cherished daughter of her parents and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. Affectionately known as Pat, Marie, Patsy Girl, Aunty Pat, Mommy, Grandma Pat, and Goo Goo, she touched the hearts of all who knew her. She received her early education at St. Mary's Roman Catholic School. Pat worked at the American Embassy in Georgetown, Guyana, in the Consular Office from 1981 to 1985 and was known for assisting and processing immigration files for hundreds of families. She later immigrated to the United States in 1985, where she entered the field of government contracting and worked until her retirement in 2017. She took a deep interest in supporting her family, both near and far. Those who knew Pat will remember her for her quiet strength, kind words, sympathetic ear, and generous support. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Pat is survived by her siblings Teresa, Michael, Clement, Pauline, and Sandra; the children of Shareen DaSilva—Trevor, Mark, and Angelique; her cousins Allan DaSilva, Gregory Wagner, Hazel Wagner, Angelo Da Silva, Antonio Da Silva, Francisco Da Silva, John DaSilva, Zanetta Da Silva, Tony Dempsey, Andy Dempsey, and Mike Dempsey; her nieces and nephews Joanne, Patrina, Mark, and Jonathan; her grandchildren Asia, Daymon, Aiden, Emma, and Papa Astan; and her faithful daughter, Michelle. Friends are the family you choose, and memories of her kind smile and loving heart will also be cherished by the Caetano family; Lil John and his wife Ruth and their children; Penny and her children; Yvonne; Susan Campayne Lamb and her husband Aubrey and their children Andre and Wendy; Beni Parasram and his brothers Paul and Simon; Fazelet Deen Carothers and Afzal Deen; her lifelong friends Lorraine Chance, Saleema Jack, Joan Mauro, Dawn Pierre, Murlene Chan, Yolette Lorquet; and many others. Forever loved and never forgotten.
