John Andrew Kellogg, 80 years young of Woodbridge,VA passed away composedly on December 24, 2025. Born on March 22, 1945 in Portsmouth ,VA to Mr. Roosevelt Kellogg and Mrs. Lucy Kellogg, John grew up the youngest of eleven children. He attended and graduated from IC Norton High School in 1963. Thereafter he matriculated through Tuskegee Institute, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967.Upon graduation, John was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1974 as a Captain. In 1976,John obtained a Masters of Science in Business, with a concentration in Real Estate Investment and Urban Land Economics. John relocated his family from Wisconsin, to the Chicagoland area. There John built a successful career in real estate investment, ultimately achieving Vice President of Prudential Insurance, Acquisitions and Sales. John’s career included time working at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and forming the Kellogg Realty Group. John was a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc after pledging the Gamma Episilon chapter his senior year at Tuskegee Institute in 1967. John was an active alumnus of IC Norcom,Tuskegee Instititute and the University of Wisconsin. John A. Kellogg was known for his infinite wisdom, infectious humor, generous spirit, melodic singing voice and spiritual strength. He had a passion for poetry,traveling and lending a hand to his fellow man. John was a dedicated father to his three daughters, brother to his siblings and uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his effervescent personality, infectious humor, his magnanimous smile and his love of people. John A. Kellogg is survived by his three daughters Kyemberlyn Kellogg, Dr. Kyendria Garth and Kyesendria Kellogg, his son-in-law R. Jackson Garth, his twin brother James Kellogg, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and granddogs Acheron, Leo and Chewie. John was preceded in death by his parents Rosevellt Kellogg, Lucy Kellogg, Junius Kellogg(1998),Mary Arlene(1931), Henry Kellogg (1994), Rosa Gibbs (2014), Evangeline Pope (2012), Melvin Kellogg (1990), and Elvin Kellogg(2012). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Tuskegee University in John Andrew Kellogg’s memory. John A. Kellogg lived a life full of love,laughter, and perseverance of knowledge.
