Gabriele Jones

Gabriele Jones, 76, of Dale City, Virginia departed this world in the early hours of November 2, 2025, surrounded by her family and their love for her. Gabriele was born on August 1, 1949 in Morfelden, West Germany. She was preceded in death by her father Erich Reddig and her mother Gerda Reddig of Gross-Gerau, Germany. Gabriele spent most of her early life in Morfelden and Gross-Gerau before meeting her future husband M.T., an American soldier, who was stationed nearby. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage and a new life together in the United States. Gabriele was fiercely dedicated to her family. Making sure her children were well supported in childhood with love, fun and caring guidance. She especially enjoyed encouraging her grandchildren in their many endeavors over the years. Attending birthday parties, and hosting Easter Egg Hunts at her home brought her tremendous joy. Her ability to find the perfect .gif or meme to send for special events and birthdays kept her close to her loved ones even though some of them lived hundreds of miles away. Professionally, Gabriele found great success in the world of retail, serving as a manager or department director in various stores during her 40+ year career including tenures at Dart Drug, the Cosmetic Center, Ulta and Hamrick’s. She took great pride in helping her customers and uplifting her employees. Post retirement, she established her own fragrance vending business – Monique’s Fragrance Boutique! Gabriele was very passionate and intuitive when meeting new people. Most of her customers were more than clients – they became her friends. Gabriele is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, M.T. Jones of Dale City, Virginia; her two children - son Maurice Jones (Michele) Chapel Hill, North Carolina and daughter Tamaica Williamson (Darian, Sr.) Dale City, Virginia. She leaves behind seven grandchildren – Raven Williamson, Darian Williamson, Jr., Joseph Jones, Joshua Jones, Jonathan Jones, James Jones and Anabelle Jones. Gabriele is also survived by her great granddaughter, her “Munchkin Girl”, Aniya Williamson. Additional survivors include her siblings Herma Cromartie of Germany, Mandy Altmann (Uwe) of Gross-Gerau, Germany and Gerhard Reddig (Elke) of Frankfurt, Germany. A celebration of her life will be held on November 16th at noon at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192.
