Alberto “Alby” “Bee” Bustos, 32, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on December 11, 2025. Though his time with us was far too short, Alby filled it with laughter, creativity, music, and an extraordinary amount of love. Born on February 10, 1993, in Fairfax, Virginia, to Elena Bustos, Alby grew up with a kind heart and a curious spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. He attended Camelot Elementary School and Luther Jackson Middle School before transferring to Sterling Middle School and later graduated from Park View High School in 2011. Alby wore many professional hats, but no matter what the job, his true talent was people. He had a natural gift for connection—whether with coworkers, customers, or complete strangers—and took genuine joy in making others smile. His kindness was often paired with a wonderfully mischievous, sometimes twisted sense of humor that kept everyone around him laughing. Outside of work, Alby embraced life’s simple pleasures. He loved cartoons, video games, and movie nights, but his greatest passion was music. A musician and lifelong fan, he attended countless concerts and festivals, always returning with unforgettable stories. He delighted in collecting instruments and teaching himself how to play them and expressed his creativity further through hobby photography and the music videos he wrote, directed, and edited himself. Alby also had a deep love for animals and nature. He adored his cats, Ernie and Matty, who filled his home with joy and chaos. True to his nickname “Bee,” he had a special fondness for bees—marveling at their importance, their teamwork, and their gentle persistence, qualities many felt reflected his own spirit. On September 3, 2022, Alby proposed to the love of his life, Nikita “Niki” Iszard, beginning an exciting new chapter as they prepared to build their future together in Indiana. Their life was filled with music, laughter, shared dreams, and endless love. Alby is survived by his fiancée, Nikita; his mother, Elena Bustos; and his many aunts and cousins especially Rachel Bustos, who was more like a sister to him. He leaves behind countless friends, stories, songs, and smiles—and a world made brighter by having known him. Services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Gainesville, Virginia, followed by a 5:00 p.m. viewing at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge, Virginia. Alby will be remembered for his gentle heart, infectious humor, creative soul, and the love he gave so freely—to people, animals, and even the smallest creatures that made the world hum. 🐝
