Thomas E. "Buddy" Blake IV

Thomas E. "Buddy" Blake IV, 69, of Lake Ridge, VA died April 5, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was a retired police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. Following his retirement, Buddy worked 28 years as a government contractor. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Thomas E. Blake III and Patricia H. Blake. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Maureen; son Patrick (Christina) of Annandale, VA; daughter Sara of Arlington, VA; and granddaughter Giulia. He is also survived by his sister Sara of Reston, VA; brother Timothy (Patricia) of Augusta, GA; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 11a.m. to 2p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Dr., Woodbridge. Interment will be 1:45p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Fairfax Memorial Park. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Buddy's name.
