Ruth Hoye Booth

Ruth Hoye Booth of Lake Ridge, VA passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 at Potomac Place Memory Care. She was 90 years old. Ruth was a talented cosmetologist for many years at the Arcade Beauty Salon in NW Washington, D.C. She was a loving mother, supportive and patriotic military wife, adoring grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Ruth was an avid reader, card player, and enjoyed doing cross stitching. She was a strong, loyal, kind, and generous woman who helped others, loved to laugh, and spend time with her family. Ruth always kept an optimistic outlook, and held a deep faith even during the difficult times in her life. She was particularly proud of her 6 grandchildren and loved them immensely. Ruth was born on June 21, 1931 in Sang Run, Maryland to the late Fred and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hoye. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, MSG Earl R. “Bob” Booth (US Army, Retired). Her brothers Baxton Hoye and Paul Hoye, her sisters Miriam Friend, Margaret Hoye and Mary VanSickle also preceded her. She is survived by her three devoted children, Michael W. Booth and husband Troy Jacobs of Midland, VA; Ann Booth Trullender and husband Jeff, of Lake Ridge, VA; and Kathryn Booth Baird and husband Phillip, of Morganfield, KY. Six beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly Matthew and Rachel Booth, Cole and Kara Trullender, and Elijah and Margaret Baird. One sister, Kathryn Hoye and devoted niece Tracie Hoye McGraw and husband David and family; three sisters-in-law Faye Booth, Betty Hope and Sara Hitchcock along with many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192 on Monday February 21, 2022 from 6 pm until 9 pm, and Tuesday February 22, 2022 9 am until service time beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
