    Kerry Robert Price

    Kerry Robert Price was born on December 14, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Ernest Price, Jr., and Marian (Connor) Price. He grew up in the Falls Church area of Virginia and passed away September 20, 2020, at his home in Sterling, Virginia, due to complications from cancer. Kerry was a graduate of J.E.B. Stuart High School, Itasca Community College, The University of North Dakota, The University of Baltimore School of Law and received a Certification in Sustainable Landscape from The George Washington University. After college, he was a teacher & coach at Thompson High School, Thompson, N.D, before returning to Virginia in 1976. He spent many years employed with Countryside Settlements, Old American Title, LP and most recently, as co- owner of LandEscape Designs, now known as Wild Planet Green. Kerry was a volunteer coach with Lower Loudoun Little League and the AAU Silverhawks and was a football official for many years with the Northern Virginia Football Officials Association. He was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, University of Minnesota Gopher Hockey, unless they were playing The University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. His parents, Ernest and Marian, and a sister Holly Mairena, pre-deceased him. Kerry is survived by his wife of 49 years Jan (Gould), his sons Jesse (Brooke), Ryan (Emily Koeck), Nick (Danielle Troianello), grand children Matthew, Lauren & Nolan Price, Kendall and Bennett Powell. He was a brother to William (Nanette) Price, Jill (Dave) Detwiler, Jeanne (Randy) Balderson, John (Jean) Price, Karen (Patrick) McConville, Karl (Blanca), brother-in-law to Mario (Lisa) Mairena, Gail (Kurt) Carlson, Valerie Stevens, Lisa Gould; uncle to many nieces and nephews and special friends to Jennifer Aaron, the Blaylock and the Reed families. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a youth sports program, Capital Caring Hospice or a charity of your choice. Please also consider making a blood donation at a blood bank near you. A Celebration of Kerry’s Life is scheduled for 2:00 Sunday, September 27, 2020 at South Riding Center, South Riding, Virginia. “Every day is a new opportunity.
