Jane E. Douglas (AKA) “Granny”, was born on March 21, 1945 in Washington DC. She was raised and educated in Falls Church, Virginia. She was employed by Arlington Hospital for many years before retiring as a Shirt Pressor at a Dry Cleaners. During her working years, she lived throughout Fairfax County, Virginia. She settled in Woodbridge, Virginia after buying her first home. Jane believed in family and deeply loved hers. She devoted her retirement years to raising her grandchildren; Bruce, India, Octavia and great-grandchildren; Mychal and Torrek Harris affectionally known as “The Boys”. She enjoying playing Bingo and would travel with friends to Maryland to play all night. She loved shopping; her favorite store was Old Navy. In her later years, she began painting and had become quite the artist. Jane was preceded in death by a son; Kenneth (Kenny) Harris and one daughter Cassandra Stackhouse. She leaves four children to cherish her memory; Pamela Houston, Tony Douglas, Nina Douglas (Quentin), Annette Marshall; seven grandchildren; Bruce Harris, India Stackhouse, Octavia Douglas, Patrice Houston, Vanessa Houston, Tony Douglas Jr, Christine Douglas; and host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.
