    Angel Yvonne Crowley

    January 8, 2021

Angel Yvonne Crowley, 48, went home peacefully to our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born on June 23, 1972, to Pauline Crowley and Charles McWhorter. Angel was a native of Ohio, raised in Springfield then later relocated to Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Whetstone High School in Columbus,Ohio in 1990. After completing high school; she became a certified nursing assistant and relocated to Springfield, Virginia. She leaves behind two beloved daughters, Desiree and Deja Whitfield, and her grandson Minkail Seasy; they were her life. “Pookie”, as she is affectionately called by family and friends, graduated from ACT College in the spring of 2004. She spent years serving in the medical field as an MA and a certified nursing assistant and was known for her kindness and going above and beyond to her patients. Angel was the kind of medical professional that would spend a little extra time reading books to her patients or simply let them talk and express and share their best memories in a safe and non judgmental conversational space. Equally, her patients loved her hospitality. An established Virginian woman through and through, down to earth, genuine and honest. A devoted mother, friend and confidant. Angel was kind, compassionate, loving, and understanding. She had a generous heart and was a mother to many. Angel Yvonne Crowley was an incredible soul with an incredibly giving heart with a great sense of humor. Her heart was generous and she was a mother to many. Angel was a God fearing woman; she prayed faithfully. Angel loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed laughing, Starbucks, learning new dance moves, working out, journaling, shopping, fantasy tv shows and movies, such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Tudors. Angel enjoyed and found happiness in embracing old and new friends, and spending time with her family. Angel was preceded in death by her mother Pauline Crowley and her father Charles McWhorter, her uncle Gherman Glenn; Elizabeth Crowley; and cousin Anthony Crowley. Loving memories are cherished by her children, Desiree Whitfield and Deja Whitfield and her only grandson (Yaya’s baby) Minkail Majid-Noah Seasy. Her sister Andrea Crowley and Her brothers Juan Crowley, Micheal Crowley, Andrew Crowley and Bryant Crowley. Her Aunt Shelly and Her Uncle George. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Angel. A rare Soul. One of a kind. A gift to humanity. The pain of her absence now leaves the feeling of a gaping hole in the lives and hearts of all of us she loved and touched. But her impact was strong and lasting and her legacy lives on.
