Wilfredo Padilla Santana

Wilfredo Padilla Santana, de 82 años, falleció pacíficamente el miércoles 11 de septiembre de 2024, en su hogar, rodeado de su esposa, hijos y nietos. Nació en Bayamón, Puerto Rico, el 21 de marzo de 1942, hijo de Inocencio y Virginia. Pasó su juventud en su pueblo natal y luego construyó su familia en Sabana Seca, Toa Baja. Eventualmente, pasó sus últimos años de vida en Woodbridge, VA. Amoroso esposo, devoto padre y cariñoso abuelo, Wilfredo también fue un buen amigo, hermano y tío, querido por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Su sentido del humor y su disposición para ayudar a los demás lo hicieron una presencia siempre apreciada. Estaba siempre disponible para todo el que necesitara apoyo o compañía, y su calidez y generosidad dejaron una marca indeleble en la vida de quienes lo rodeaban. Wilfredo deja atrás a su esposa por 58 años, Gloria Meléndez; sus cuatro hijos, Ivette, Wilda, Wendy y Willie; así como sus queridos nietos, Frankie, Keishla, Kamila y Karina, quienes lo recordarán con amor y gratitud. También es sobrevivido por sus hermanos Lydia, Milagros, Gloria, Raúl, Carlos y Migdalia. La familia invita a amigos a unirse en la celebración de su vida el viernes 20 de septiembre de 2024 a las 9:00 AM en la funeraria Miller Funeral Home, ubicada en 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA. Posteriormente, se celebrará una misa con cuerpo presente a las 12:30 PM en la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, en 13752 Marys Way, Woodbridge, VA. Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on March 21, 1942, he was the son of Inocencio and Virginia. He spent his youth in his hometown and later built his family in Sabana Seca, Toa Baja. Eventually, he spent his final years in Woodbridge, VA. A loving husband, devoted father, and caring grandfather, Wilfredo was also a good friend, brother, and uncle, cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His sense of humor and willingness to help others made him a constantly appreciated presence. He was always available to support or keep company with those in need, and his warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him. Wilfredo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria Meléndez; his four children, Ivette, Wilda, Wendy, and Willie; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Frankie, Keishla, Kamila, and Karina, who will remember him with love and gratitude. He is also survived by his siblings Lydia, Milagros, Gloria, Raúl, Carlos, and Migdalia. The family invites friends to join in celebrating his life on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Miller Funeral Home, located at 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA. Following this, a Mass with the body present will be held at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Angels Parish, 13752 Marys Way, Woodbridge, VA.
