Patricia Slaughter November 13, 1943 – September 15, 2023 Patricia Catherine (Boyer) Slaughter was born on November 13, 1943 in South Haven, Michigan and completed her time on this earth on September 15, 2023 at the age of 79. She departed this earth surrounded by loved ones on the anniversary of the day she met the love of her life ♥. Patricia (Pat) was a devout Catholic with a tremendous faith and love for Jesus. She always had a prayer at the ready for anything you may have needed. She was always willing to pray for you or with you and you knew those prayers were heard. Pat and her family were long time residents of Dale City, VA. She was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church and served in many capacities over the years from CCD teacher, banner maker, to Pastor’s secretary, a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Auxiliary of the Legion of Mary. She worked as a secretary for the Boys & Girls Club in Woodbridge. She served as a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member and President of the Dale City Arts & Crafts Club and a well-recognized artist and craftsperson. She was well loved by her family, friends and community and will be missed. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Russell M. Slaughter, Sr. of Dale City, VA as well as her parents Joseph D. and Elizabeth M. Boyer and sister Winifred of East Lansing, Michigan. She is survived by her son Russell M. Slaughter, Jr. and his wife Rebecca and their daughter, Alexandra Slaughter of Dale City, VA; her daughter Debby (Slaughter) Krieter and her husband Winston of Fredericksburg, VA and their children Charles Krieter, Jennifer Chandler (husband Aaron), Rebecca Krieter, Katie Krieter, Emily Krieter, Joseph Krieter (wife Madelyn), Jacob Krieter (wife Samantha), Minda Williams (husband Bradley), Luke Krieter, Johnathon Krieter, Benjamin Krieter, Michael Krieter and Rachael Krieter as well as her great-grandchildren Annaliese, Evelyn, Penelope, Naomi, Victoria, Balian, Charlotte and Sophia. She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth Myers (husband David), Mary Joslyn (husband Dan), Joseph D. Boyer, Jr. (wife Jennifer), Horace John Boyer (wife Marsha), Frank Boyer (wife Sally), Barbara Smutz and Monica Zimmerman as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Pat’s faith and love for her family and friends will live on in their hearts. May her faith continue to guide and inspire those that she leaves behind in hope of being reunited one day in Heaven.
