Lillian Noemi Pellot, age 85, passed away on May 28, 2026, at Sentara Hospital in Woodbridge, Virginia, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 20, 1941, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Lillian spent her early childhood on the island before moving to New York with her family while she was still a young girl. It was in New York that she met the love of her life, Manuel Pellot. Following their marriage, Lillian embraced the life of an Army spouse, traveling and living in various places as her husband's military service took their family wherever duty called. Through every move and every challenge, she created a loving home and provided a steady foundation for her family. Above all else, Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She was a homemaker for many years, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and wonderful meals. When her children were older, Lillian cared for neighborhood children as if they were her own. The families she helped trusted her completely, and the children she cared for were loved, guided, and nurtured by her. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Later in life, Lillian worked in housekeeping at Fort Belvoir until her retirement. Lillian was known for her exceptional cooking and her ability to bring people together around the table. Feeding others was one of the many ways she expressed her love. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and trying her luck with lottery games. She loved music—especially salsa—and enjoyed any song with a good beat that made her want to dance or tap her feet. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Although raised in the Catholic faith, in her later years she found comfort, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement through a non-denominational Bible study. Her faith remained an important part of her life. As the last surviving sibling of her family, Lillian carried with her a lifetime of memories, stories, and traditions that connected generations. Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Pellot, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and memories. While her family mourns her passing, they find peace in the thought that she is once again by his side. After years apart, they are reunited—perhaps dancing together to the rhythm of a favorite salsa song, smiling as they did so many years ago. She leaves behind her loving children, Manuel Pellot Jr. and Elsie Yvette Pellot; her cherished grandchildren, Byron, Jordan, Victoria, Manuel, Chet, and Justin; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Alex, Douglas, and Nikolas. She also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, strength, and love. Lillian will be remembered for her caring heart, unwavering devotion to family, resilience, warmth, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the lessons she taught, the traditions she passed down, and the love she gave so freely. Funeral services and interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.
