Loving and Cherished Obituary for Kevin Willis It is with a mixture of profound sadness and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Kevin Joseph Willis, 48, of Haymarket, Virginia, on May 5th, 2026. Beloved husband to his devoted wife, Carrie Hoffman, Kevin was the heartbeat of their home, radiating love, laughter, and kindness to everyone who knew him. Kevin was a proud father to Cole, Wyatt, Gavin, and Tanner. He was a devoted son to Dave Willis and was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Ashley. He was also a loving brother to David Willis and Chris Willis. Kevin was a man of endless faith in God, love, dedication, and joy. He cherished life’s simple pleasures: morning coffee chats with Carrie, weekend walks in the park with their dog Guinness, being out in nature, spontaneous road trips, antiquing, hunting with family and friends at the hunting club, fishing on his boat with the boys, attending Wyatt's baseball games, and tackling special projects—whether it was yard work, building Carrie's greenhouse, or refinishing antiques picked up at the flea market with his family. Kevin's sense of humor was infectious, his compassion unwavering, and his spirit uplifting, always ready to offer a joke to lighten the mood or a hand to help a neighbor in need. He was fiercely devoted to his family, a loving and treasured father whose wisdom, warmth, and playful spirit shaped his children's lives. Kevin treasured memories of family holidays, lively backyard barbecues, and moments by the firepit, where roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and laughter wove the fabric of his family’s life together. Beyond his home, Kevin worked as a Superintendent of Masonry for approximately 27 years, earning the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication. He took pride in providing for his family and was known as someone others could truly rely on. Kevin was a mentor and a friend to many, touching countless lives with his generosity, positivity, and integrity. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, and cherished memories that will be carried forward in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private Celebration of Life will be held to honor Kevin’s legacy on his Heavenly Birthday, June 27th, 2026. Details still to come and will be shared when ready. Kevin’s life was a celebration of love, devotion, and joyful living. While we mourn his absence, we honor a life well lived, filled with laughter, adventures, and the kind of love that endures forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, always celebrated, and forever cherished. In lieu of flowers, Carrie asks that donations be made to one of the following charities: NAMI.org for mental health awareness, or The ALS Association in loving memory of Kevin’s mom, Becky. These donations reflect Kevin’s lifelong commitment to helping others and spreading joy wherever he went. Though his loss leaves an unimaginable void, those who knew and loved him will carry his memory forward through the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the countless moments shared together. Some of Kevin’s most cherished Bible verses: “Be still and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 “He said to the Israelites, ‘In the future when your descendants ask their parents, “What do these stones mean?” tell them, “Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.” For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.’” — Joshua 4:21-24 ~ Kevin will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always cherished. ~
