Sunrise: August 28, 1948 – Sunset: May 5, 2025 Jackie Hart Robinson, 76, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed May 5th, 2025. Born on August 28th, 1948, Jackie was a beacon of love, wisdom, patience, and strength to all who knew him. A proud veteran, Jackie served honorably in the Army, completing two tours in the Vietnam War between 1968 and 1974. In recognition of his bravery and sacrifice, Jackie was awarded two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, and several other accolades while serving his country. His dedication to his country was a reflection of his deep sense of duty and commitment to protecting the freedoms we hold dear. Following his military service, Jackie continued his commitment to excellence and service as an employee of the Army Audit. Through hard work and dedication, he built a distinguished career and retired after many years of faithful service. His work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike. Jackie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 25 years, Lolita Inez Robinson, with whom he shared a life full of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Her passing was deeply felt, but Jackie carried her love with him every day, finding strength in their enduring bond. Jackie dedicated his life to his family and his community, always lending a helping hand and sharing his kind heart with those in need. His warm smile and infectious laughter could brighten any room, and he had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and cherished. Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Andrew T. Robinson, Sr., and his mother, Anna C. Robinson. He leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his beloved children, Vera Lolita Vaughn and Chester Ray West; his grandchildren, Donnella Pearson, Danielle Shingieti, Donald Vaughn III, Christopher Vaughn, Devon West, Kasey Richitt; his great-grandchildren, Donovan Vaughn, Ronin Pearson, Kendon Pearson, Jasmine Shingieti and his siblings, sister Mona Lisa Henry (deceased), sister, Andrea Robinson, brother, Andrew (Rosemary) Robinson, niece Michele (Michael) Wiggins, nephews Marcus (Karen) Henry and niece Marcella (Reggie) Mazyck-Gordon, niece Ashia (Nathaniel) James II, many grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins all who were a cherished part of his life. Jackie’s legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion to family lives on through them. Jackie will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his passion for sports, sports cars, movies, gardening, and volunteering, and his deep commitment to fostering love and unity within his family and community—a special thank you to the neighbors and friends on Canvasback Court. A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on June 14th, at 10:00 AM at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge, VA 22192. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and honor a life well-lived. Jackie will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
