Earlyne J. Lawrence

January 15, 1943-September 15, 2021 Earlyne Whitten Lawrence, 78, of Lake Ridge, Virginia, formerly of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on September 15, 2021 after being ill for some time. Earlyne was born in Portland, Maine on January 15, 1943 to her late parents, Earl and Helen Whitten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest William Lawrence and her sister, Florence Whitten Durham. Earlyne was married shortly after high school to her beloved spouse, Ernest, on October 26, 1963 at Gospel Tabernacle church in New Haven, CT. Ernest served in the Air Force, which allowed them to travel all over the globe. Earlyne’s faith ran deep and was evidenced by her involvement in mission work, both local and abroad, women’s ministry and choir. Her accounting career eventually took her to Bass Pro Shops, where she retired in December 2016. Anyone who knew her, understood she had many talents that included cooking (she was phenomenal), crafting and even ran a tea room at one point. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Kathleen Jane Kaiser of Concord, NC; her two beloved children, Elizabeth W. Lawrence, and partner Robert Allen, and E. William Lawrence III and his wife, Sarah; her grandchildren, Devon Goforth, Frances Allen, Ethan Goforth, Elizabeth Allen, William Lawrence, Vladimir Lawrence, Agatha Momoh, Jamesetta Momoh, Comfort Sirleaf and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a faithful, loving wife of 54 years, the greatest mom ever, as well as an amazing sister, grandmother, and aunt. Because Earlyne spent many years living in Springfield, MO a memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at Battlefield Assembly of God in Battlefield, MO on October 22nd at 11 am. Reverends Phil Hastie and Rich Orrell will officiate. A Memorial Service will be held at Battlefield Assembly of God, 5154 State Highway FF, Battlefield, MO on October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
