Brendan Patrick Hart, 21, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intelligence, and generosity that touched everyone who knew him. Born and raised in Woodbridge, VA, Brendan was known for his inquisitive mind and his passion for learning about the world around him. He loved exploring ideas — from politics and religion to cars and technology — and had a tremendous gift for thoughtful conversation. Brendan’s curiosity was boundless, and his insights often reflected a depth of understanding beyond his years. A devoted son and brother, Brendan found his greatest joy in the simple moments he spent with his family, especially his mother, with whom he shared an exceptionally close bond. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought — generous to a fault, compassionate, and selfless in every sense. Brendan also had a playful and creative side. He loved video games, not just as entertainment but as a way to connect with his friends and to challenge himself to complete every goal. Whether talking cars, debating ideas, or sharing his latest gaming achievements, Brendan’s enthusiasm was infectious and his laughter unforgettable. In recent months, Brendan was looking forward to reclaiming his health and independence, and began developing plans to pursue the kind of future he had only dreamt of. Brendan was preparing for surgery that would have allowed him to finally begin his college education, where he planned to join the military and pursue a program as a pre-med student. His ultimate goal was to become a pain management specialist to help patients who, like he, his mother, and countless others, lived daily with chronic pain. Brendan wanted to use his own struggles as a source of empathy, healing, and motivation for others, driven by a belief that no one should ever have to suffer alone. He is survived by his loving parents, Joseph Michael Hart and Suzanne Michelle Doucet-Hart, his older brother Garrett Michael Hart, and his younger sister Ashley Katelynn Hart, who will always cherish his memory and the warmth he brought into their lives. Brendan’s light, though gone too soon, continues to shine through the love and kindness he showed others every day. His family and friends will remember him as a brilliant young man with a generous heart — a person who gave freely, thought deeply, and loved fiercely. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192. Services are scheduled for Friday, October 10th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12807 Valleywood Dr., Lake Ridge, VA 22192. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, VA 22172.
