Mrs. Anne Powers Maher (née Anne Glen Powers), 68, of Woodbridge, VA, beloved wife, mother and sister, died of cancer on August 9, 2021, in Fairfax, VA at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Anne is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 12 years, Lawrence Maher; her son Matthew Delphia and his wife Rebecca Delphia of Fairfax, VA; her daughter Laura Davidek and her husband Scott Davidek of Zelienople, PA; her son Evan Delphia of Manassas, VA; her stepson Chris Maher; her stepdaughter Jacki Maher and her brother Daniel Powers. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Logan Davidek and Breanna Davidek and her stepgranddaughter Ruth Graham. She is predeceased by her sister Ellen Powers Felty. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey on May 14, 1953, Anne was the daughter of Janet Powers (née Janet Henderson) and John Powers. She received her Nursing degree from The University of Connecticut and was a Registered Nurse for over 45 years. Her latest positions were working in the postpartum unit and vaccine clinic at Reston Hospital, in Reston, VA. Anne was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Woodbridge, VA, the Washington Fagowees Ski Club, and the social committee of her condo association. She was someone who loved Jesus, life, people, traveling, cruises, concerts, holidays, interior design, boating with her husband, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandbabies. Anne was always positive, full of energy, bright, conscientious, looked for the best in others and was perpetually kind. She was known for her generosity to everyone with whom she came into contact, whether they be friends, family, or total strangers. She will be so deeply missed by all who knew her. Family will receive visitors on August 18th, at 4pm with service to follow at 5pm at Miller Funeral Home located at 3200 Golansky Blvd, in Woodbridge, VA. www.millerfuneralhome.net.
