Agnes "Aggie" Ann Rogerson Taylor

Agnes Ann Rogerson Taylor (Aggie) of Dale City , Va. was born August 16,1935 in Kenly N.C. to Joshua and Rosie Ella Rogerson. Aggie passed from this earth December 26,2024 while in the hospital surrounded by many of her family members. Just two days before her passing on Christmas Eve Aggie accepted Jesus as her savior. Aggie spent her youth in Lorton, Va., graduating from Mt Vernon High School where one year she was Homecoming Queen. Aggie was always a very hard worker earning many awards as she strived to improve her life as well as the lives of her children. She spent the majority of her career in civil service at Ft. Belvoir, Va., but also worked as she traveled with her husband and children in different areas of the country and world with many memories made in Okinawa, Japan. Aggie earned a degree in computer information systems as well as in heating and air conditioning repair. Aggie also worked tirelessly providing for and raising her five children, basically a single mother. All of her children admired and loved their “strong, little” mother. She enjoyed her time as scorekeeper for her sons and daughter Trish’s baseball team. She always enjoyed watching baseball games on T.V. as well as going to games. Aggie gave of herself in all she did including unselfishly caring for her eldest son, Buzz, after TBI left him disabled. After her retirement Aggie devotedly cared for her special needs granddaughter from infancy until the time of Courtney’s unexpected death in 2023 at 29 years old. Aggie also took care of her two neighbors' children while caring for Courtney. This enriched all their lives. Before the birth of her granddaughter Aggie was very physically active enjoying many forms of outdoor recreation such as skiing, hiking, canoeing, repelling, caving and camping with the love of her life George Jalis Jr. They spent 44 years together as partners and companions. Aggie is survived by her life partner George Jalis Jr., sister Donnie Newhouse of Fl, daughters Marba Rose Miller (Allan), Angela Ann Linde (Chuck), Trisha Lynn Burdette (Bob), son Keith Lawrence Taylor (Monica). Grandchildren Shaun Austin Miller (Melissa), Ashley Dianne Benson (Christopher), Amber Morrow (Luke), Emily Rose Clark (Jordan), Travis Taylor (Madison), Jennifer Helena Burdette (Joe), Ryan Taylor and Dylan Taylor, great grandchildren Dakota Austin Miller (Abby), Urjiah Benson, Maisie Morrow and Eli Taylor. She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Aggie was predeceased by her brother Carroll Rogerson, sister Jackie Anderson, son William Travis Taylor (Buzz), Granddaughter Courtney Elizabeth Miller and grandson James Taylor Linde. In lieu of flowers please give to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or the support of Navajo and Hopi Nations.
