 Obituary for Raymond Joseph Peters

Raymond Joseph Peters, 70, of Shoreline Court, Williamsburg, died July 19, 2010, at Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, after a valiant fight against carcinoid syndrome cancer.  Before moving to Williamsburg, Mr. Peters resided in Lake Ridge, and was a long-time member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge.  He was most recently a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg.  Mr. Peters proudly served in the USAF as an aircraft maintenance officer in the Vietnam era and completed his civil service career at the Pentagon and at Army Materiel Command Headquarters.  Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen Kane Peters.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of five years, Patricia Reese Peters, daughter, Lauren Frank, son-in-law, Lee, and granddaughter, Quinn, of Florida, and brothers, Gerald and Joseph Peters of Maryland.  He will also be greatly missed by Patricia’s six children and their families.  The family welcomes visitors from 6pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA.  The rosary will be said by Father Lange at 6pm followed by eulogies.
Services will be August 5, 2010 at 10am at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 13752 Mary’s Way, Woodbridge, VA.  Military burial service will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Tuition Angels Program,  http://www.aquinastars.org/TuitionAngels.html, Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg, www.williamsburghospice.org, or Caring for Carcinoid, www.caringforcarcinoid.net
