Of Woodbridge, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Sentara Hospital. He had retired from Ft. Belvoir, where he worked as an electrician.

He was a member of the Virginia National Guard, stationed at Fredericksburg. Jett was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed participating in competitive shooting events.

Jett is survived by his longtime companion Bert Norris; son Robert and wife Amanda Jett of Colonial Beach; son, John and wife Michelle Jett of King George; son Allen and wife Kathryn Jett of Spotsylvania; and son Karl and wife Patty Jett of Springfield. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Miller Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Services will be private.
