On August 22, 2012, in Woodbridge, VA died of cancer. Dear husband for 22 years of Catherine Hooper; devoted father of Juliet and Andrew. Mark is survived by his mother Rhoda of Portland, OR and numerous cousins. His father Frank predeceased him in 1993. Mark was born in Humboldt County, CA. He entered the Army in 1978 and was assigned to the Herzo Base near Nuremberg, Germany. Mark was a member of the Chesapeake Area Metalworking Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 31 at 11a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 14160 Ferndale Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22193. Interment at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice at CapitalCaring.org.
