Of Locust Grove, VA died January 2, 2012. He passed quickly of pneumonia and other complications.

His wife, Helga, preceded him in 2007.

He is survived by his son Christopher (Michele), daughter Kirsten, brother Robert B. Powell (Tina), two grandchildren (KD and Karli), brother-in-law, Dietrich Hagen (Elsa) and four nephews (Bo, Marshall, Martin, David). Harry was a life-long Mason, sportsman of the outdoors, and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive visitors Friday, January 6, between 2-4pm followed by a memorial service beginning at 4pm at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge, VA. The memorial service will include a Masonic ceremony (open to all friends and family).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake of the Woods Fire Department (Locust Grove, VA) or the Masonic Home of Virginia.
