Francisco Felipe Wong Miu, 61
Francisco Felipe Wong Miu, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Virginia Hospital Center. He was 61.
Francisco, known by his family and close friends as “Pancho”, or “Asen”, was born on September 27, 1956 in Lima, Peru. He was the son of Augusto Wong Cabrera and Isabel Emilia Miu De Wong. Francisco graduated from Colegio Juan XXIII and attended Universidad de San Marcos in Lima, Peru before taking care of the family business. He was not only well respected by his employees, but also dearly loved by his family, friends and community for his humility, compassion, humor and giving and caring nature.
Those who knew him would agree he was hard working, loyal, and dependable; always smiling and happy, and putting others before himself. In today’s world, it is rare to find someone full of joy and so warm-hearted who would befriend and accept everyone from all walks of life and truly cherish their friendship. Similarly, Francisco was loved by everyone.
Francisco and his family moved to Woodbridge, Virginia in 2001. He was guided by his faith and placed his trust in God until his final moments. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Wong; two loving children Carol Isabel and Francisco Augusto Wong Vidal; his three sisters and brother, Esther Lam, Maria Cecilia Chin, Maria Elena Chen and Luis Wong, and many loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on August 14, 2018 from 10am-12pm at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory located at 3200 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge, VA. A mass will follow at 1pm at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church located at 13752 Mary’s Way, Woodbridge, VA.
